Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, has today welcomed news that five organisations within his constituency have been successful in applying for National Lottery funding.

The groups – Locus Breadalbane Limited, Elder Voice (Blairgowrie and Rattray) and Friends of Breadalbane Academy, have received funding totalling £27,856 after applying to National Lottery Awards for All Scotland.

Commenting, Mr Swinney said:

“I am delighted that these worthwhile groups are to receive funding. Each of these organisations play an important role in enriching their local community and I am sure that they will put their awards to good use.

“I would also encourage any eligible groups in the Perthshire area to consider applying for National Lottery funding.”

National Lottery Awards for All Scotland gives groups a chance to apply for a National Lottery grant of between £300 and £10,000 for projects that aim to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need. National Lottery Awards for All Scotland awards grants to community, arts and sports groups on behalf of Big Lottery Fund Scotland, Creative Scotland and sportscotland.
