Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, has today welcomed news that three organisations within his constituency have been successful in applying for National Lottery funding.

The groups – Perth and Kinross Youth Football Association (£7920), Perth Chamber Music (£1068) and Wild Sparks Outdoor Play CIC (£9965) have received a total of £18,953 of funding from the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland.

Commenting, Mr Swinney said:

“I was delighted to learn of the extra funding that will be benefiting groups within my constituency. I am sure these organisations will put the money to good use, and I look forward to seeing the benefits for local communities in the months and years to come.

“I would also encourage any eligible groups in the Perthshire area to consider applying for National Lottery funding.”

National Lottery Awards for All Scotland gives groups a chance to apply for a National Lottery grant of between £300 and £10,000 for projects that aim to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need. National Lottery Awards for All Scotland awards grants to community, arts and sports groups on behalf of Big Lottery Fund Scotland, Creative Scotland and sportscotland.
