Perthshire North MSP, Mr John Swinney, has today urged his constituents to continue to follow the NHS guidance in relation to tackling the Coronavirus.

The guidance, which can be found in full at http://www.nhsinform.scot, provides key information to individuals and families on how best to respond to COVID-19.

Commenting, Mr Swinney said:

“In COVID-19, we are facing the biggest public health challenge in living memory.

“Accordingly, it is vital that we all do our part to slow the spread of this virus and relieve pressure on our frontline services.

“I therefore encourage my constituents in the strongest possible terms to regularly check the NHS website and to pay attention to the regular Scottish Government briefings, in order to ensure that they have the most up to date information.

“This is an unprecedented moment for our nation, and I understand completely that there is currently a great deal of fear and uncertainty about the weeks and months ahead. But by acting responsibly and following official guidance, I am fully confident that we can overcome this challenge together.”
