Perthshire North MSP John Swinney, will be visiting Kinnoull Primary tomorrow [Friday 22nd] to meet with class teacher Mrs Bee, her class primary 6/7 and to catch up with Head Teacher Mrs Sorrie.

Commenting on the visit Mr Swinney said,

“I take every opportunity I can to visit the many primary schools across my Perthshire North constituency and enjoy greatly discussing the issues affecting or concerning our young people.

“In this instance I have been invited to discuss with primary 6/7 the plight of Syrian refugees and the work the Scottish Government and, closer to home, Perth and Kinross council have done to help with this very human crisis.

“Always in such visits I am struck by the insight our young people demonstrate on what are often complex issues and I expect this visit will be no different.

“I know also that some of the most difficult questions I get asked as an MSP and Government Minister emerge in Perthshire classrooms so I will ensure I am well prepared.”
